BULL BAR SPECIFIC INTERCOOLER KIT

Our main intercooler kit is designed for factory bumper bars and works fine with some aftermarket bull bars for example Ironman Commercial Deluxe where there is ample room to run intercooler piping up in front of the AC condenser panel.

Some bull bars with over sized internal mounts or brackets and internal winch cradles may not allow room for the piping to pass through and interfere with our normal intercooler kit piping.

Our Bull bar specific version is made specifically to suit the Nissan Navara Series 5 Premcar Warrior and factory bull bars for all series of NP300 but also suits most aftermarket bull bars and winches as long as there is room to get piping through.

Some however may require minor modification to bracket edges or internal structures to allow piping to pass through.

Unfortunately HAMMER bull bars do not work with any of our intercooler kits without cutting and removing extensive bull bar material so we DO NOT recommend Hammer bull bars if you want to do the intercooler as well.

Very similar for some RHINO and JUNGLE 4X4 bull bars, they will require quite extensive amount of modifications needed to fit which may mean the bull bar may no longer be strong enough.

We know our bull bar specific kit works with the list below:

  • Suits Nissan Navara NP300 D23 Series 1-4 fitted with:

    • Factory Nissan Bull Bar

    • Opposite Lock Bull Bar

    • Rhino 4×4 Bull Bar**

    • EFS XCAPE Bull bar

    • ARB Bull Bar

Suits Nissan Navara NP300 D23 Series 5 2020+ fitted with:

    • Oem Nissan Bull Bar (Warn Winch NOT Compatible)

    • Premcar Warrior Bull Bar (Warn Winch NOT Compatible)

    • Jungle 4×4 Bull Bar (Series 1-5)**

    • Rhino Bull Bar**

    • EFS XCAPE Bull bar

*DOES NOT SUIT HAMMER BULL BARS

** Rhino Bull bars ands Jungle bull bars will more than likely require some material removed from mounting bracket edges that are hugely over sized and in the way of piping.

The oversized mounting points are in the way of our normal piping so the bull bar kit piping wraps in ward around the mounts

Hammer Bull Bars – Are NOT recommended

We do not recommend Hammer Bull Bars for relocated and upgraded intercooler kits.

The Hammer Bull Bar requires the most extensive time to install an intercooler kit due to the internal reinforcement bar requiring extensive grinding to remove enough material for pipes to have clearance to fit through between the bull bar internal reobar and the lower radiator supports.  There is not enough room to fit any form of piping through here with out cutting away the reobar.

The amount of material that must be removed could compromise the strength off the winch mounting. It is unlikely a winch will also fit with the intercooler.

Images below show the cuts required drawn on the reo bar. A large D shape is to be cut away for clearance near the pipes. Shown in the images below.

The egr water pump mounts extensions brackets that are part of the Hammer kit will need to be removed and the pumps lowered back into to factory location. Other wise the pumps are where the intercooler goes.

The corners of the bull bar mounts need to be cut away as well as they are hugely over sized and in the way.

Winches and Intercoolers.

Nearly all small and medium body 12t winches will work just fine with our intercooler kit.

Our intercooler core is custom made to 200mm high, not the common off the shelf 300mm high and that is on purpose. The 200mm core allows room to run a winch on a bull bar or our internal hidden winch cradle. A 300mm core would not.

Most common winches ie Kings Domin8r, Carbon 12k, Runva 12k etc will work fine with remote control boxes mounted away from the winch.
Any super wide winches or housings with fixed control boxes on the top of the winch wont suit an intercooler above it. Also winches with fixed control boxes on the end will not fit inside a navara front.

The over sized heavy duty and all Warn winches will not work with an intercooler upgrade unless the winch is external from the bull bar.
