A wastegate is a valve which controls the flow of exhaust gas from an engine to the turbocharger. With this in mind, it controls the flow of exhaust gas to the turbine of the turbocharger. Moreover, the wastegate can control the boost pressure provided by the turbocharger to the engine. 

The wastegate needs to be correctly matched for the engine and turbocharger combination. Since this will give the end-user adequate control over boost pressure. There are two types of wastegates: external wastegates, and actuator driven internal wastegates.

Gen-V wastegates are a direct fit upgrade to all 4th-generation Turbosmart wastegates. All Gen-V wastegates are provided with a range of springs (3-26psi). In addition, they feature our unique collar-locking system, rotatable actuator, strap-type V-band clamps, 1/8″ NPT ports, and “optional” liquid-cooling. They are also available in Motorsport and Compressed Gas versions.

The GenV HyperGate45 Compressed Gas external wastegate is a cost-effective, high performing external wastegate. Uniquely designed for control strategies that actively bias the top chamber with high pressure for large boost bandwidth operation. This includes CO2 drag racing or compressed air WRC applications.

Furthermore, the Compressed Gas range features an inverted diaphragm. Hence why it was designed with a purpose to maximize diaphragm life from high-pressure CO2 or compressed air systems.

The GenV WG40 CompGate Motorsport External Wastegate is a cost-effective external wastegate. It is designed with huge thermal demands in mind. Based on the modular architecture of the GenV range.

The Motorsport version has an extra CFD driven heatsink built-in proven to dissipate more heat and further isolate the actuator housing from thermal stress. Furthermore, the GenV provides extensive User Configurability world-leading extended thermal performance, fatigue resistance, and best in class flow performance.  Designed for optimum control and longevity.

HIGH PERFORMANCE | NO LIMITATIONS | HIGH BOOST CONTROL 

Surprisingly, there are no springs, no hoses, and no boost reference signal. Above all, there are no limitations associated with any of them. Gone are ‘Minimum’ boost levels associated with base spring pressure or the heat-related issues with hoses.

If your manifold priority is good enough, you can set your boost anywhere from zero up. ‘All of it’ – All from your laptop or tuning interface.

The HP External Wastegate Range takes our modular GenV range & adds more boost! In fact, it utilises the GenV modular architecture; class-leading flow, thermal performance & fatigue resistance. We have created an actuator with more room for more spring. 

More importantly, the HP Range is ideal for Diesel Applications & Ultra-High-Performance Petrol applications where high pressures & a narrow tuning window are required. The HP range offers options available up to 50psi without any external boost control or reference manipulation & even more, with!

BLOW-OFF VALVES

 Turbosmart Blow-off Valves are manufactured with a focus on performance and reliability. Turbosmart Blow-off valves (also known as diverter valves, recirc valves, DV’s etc) are made in Australia. Built and machined from tough, durable billet aluminium. With a complete range of solutions. Turbosmart offers OE Replacement and heavy-duty upgrades through all performance and street applications, race and of course for motorsport use. 

The Kompact range from Turbosmart is a range of upgraded valves to suit road cars, for normal, high performance and tuned use. The Turbosmart Kompact blow-off valve range includes the Kompact EM (Electro-Mechanical) series which takes the best of a mechanical valves reliability and adds integration with factory control electronics and strategies. Furthermore, the Kompact range relies on Turbosmart’s proven positive seal piston. The boost-balance system for years of reliability and trouble-free motoring.

The BOV5 range, our 5th iteration of a true performance valve, shares the same boost-balance, positive seal piston technology as the Kompact Range. High flowing than the Kompact range for higher horsepower setups. With a huge list of bolt-on, model specific and Universal Applications. The BOV 5 range bridges the gap in the space between street and race where the greater flow is needed in higher performance applications.

ULTRA-HIGH PERFORMANCE | STREET | RACE | SUPERCHARGED – Up to 2500HP (50mm Valve)

An amazingly small and light BOV for forced induction competition level engines. The Race Port has race-proven results from street, strip and circuit. Featuring our unique collar design, twin 1/8” NPT pressure ports and internal flow structures. It is 50% lighter and 25% smaller than the competition. While flowing 330 CFM – making it the highest flowing BOV of its type on the market.
